After living with 8 generations, Helen Margaret Hastings, wife of the late Earl James McGovern, passed away at Foyer Sutton on Wednesday March 22, 2023, at the age of 99.

She is survived by her sons : Donald (Debbie) of Welland, ON; Thomas (Patricia) of Knowlton, QC; John (Brenda) of Listowell, ON; Peter (Barbara) of Foster, QC; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; predeceased by her daughters Sharon (Angus Bruce) and Caroline (David Badger); her grandson Mark, her brother Arthur and her sister Elizabeth.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Knowlbanks, Excelsoins Knowlton and the CHSLD Foyer Sutton for the good care given in the last years of her life.

Cremation was held in Granby at Les Jardins Funéraires Bessette Crematorium.

The service and interment will be held at a later date.
