Douglas Harry Beakes, loving husband of Shirley Ann Maynes, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at BMP Hospital, Cowansville QC.

Doug was born August 15, 1947, son of Vivian (Champeau) and Harry Beakes.

Doug leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Shirley. He will be greatly missed by sisters-in- law Doris and Helen ( Late Lee Labrecque) and brother-in-law Glenn McGovern.

Doug’s “special rock” Shannon is one of ten nieces and nephews, as well as great- nieces and nephews, who will miss Uncle Doug, and many friends.

Predeceased by sisters – in law Joyce (late Ken Ossington) and Jean (late Wes Jones).

Cremation was held in Granby at Les Jardins Funéraires Bessette Crematorium.

In respect of Doug’s wishes there will not be any visitation or service.

Interment at Duboyce Cemetery, West Bolton at a later date.
